The second season opens with auditions in New York and Charleston, S.C. The first auditions were judge by three of the producers from American Idol. The second round of judging included a set of two pieces picked by a choreographer to perform, one solo and one with a partner. Those who succeeded will move on to Las Vegas. This special 90 minute episode would see the auditions from Los Angeles over a 2 day period. The judging would again focus on two pieces, both solo and with a partner. They results seem to have focused more on the like-ability of the performers instead of mere talent. The first day saw barely anyone passing through from their solo efforts and that round was dropped for the next day.

The auditions continue in world famous Chicago Theater, where each dancer is given one minute to dazzle the judges with their best routine. This year's winner will receive a car, $100,000 and a one year contract to perform with Celine Dion's Las Vegas show.

115 dancers will be called back to compete for the grand prize. Their first challenge is to be divided into groups of 5, and then given routines from the five choreographers in their specialties. At the end of the night, just 43 would remain.

The remaining 43 perform in front of the judges and by days end, 20 would survive...10 men and 10 women.

This seasons couples were chosen as follows, Benji and Donyelle, Ivan and Allison, Jason and Aleksandra, Jamyz and Jessica, Stanislav and Erin, Dmitry and Joy, Ryan and Heidi, Ben and Ashlee, Travis and Martha, and Musa and Natalie. The bottom 3 couples as voted by the viewers will get a chance to perform solo in front of the judges before the lowest rated man and woman is eliminated. After a look behind the scenes, then Hop, Swing and a Jump will give a performance. This weeks couples pair up as such, Ashlee and Ben dancing a hip-hop routine, Heidi and Ryan dancing a Cuban rumba, Aleksandra and Dmitry dancing the Waltz, Allison and Ivan dancing an Argentine tango, Donyelle and Benji dancing pop-jazz, Natalie and Musa dancing a quick step, Jessica and Jaymz dancing to a contemporary piece, and Martha and Travis dance a hip-hop. This weeks judges will be Nigel Lithgoe, Mary Murphy, and Olisa and Cicely.

The remaining 16 dancers perform to Poison choreographed by Shane Sparks. The next two contestants will be eliminated by the shows end.

This weeks random coupling finds Ryan and Heidi, Travis and Martha, Dmitry and Ashlee, Musa and Natalie, Benji and Donyelle, Ivan and Allison, along with Jaymz and Jessica. All couples will dance 2 pairs and 1 solo in front of the judges. Lil'C is this weeks guest performer.

The bottom 3 couples are revealed: Jessica & Jaymz, Ryan & Heidi, and surprisingly Ivan & Allison. After dancing their solos the judges eliminate two more dancers. Jessica for the girls - mostly because of her lack of personality. Jaymz for the boys - apparently because he oddly chose a solo from a style that wasn't his specialty.

This weeks random pairings went as follows, Musa and Natalie, Ryan and Heidi, Dmitry and Ashley, Ivan and Allison, Marth and Travis, along with Benji and Donyelle. The show starts with the twelve remaining performers dancing to Born to be Alive. A new set of rules would see the couples randomly selected and then performing 2 couple and 1 solo each. The show begins with all eight dancers in a routine to Cell Block Tango. After a review of last night's episode, two more contestants will be eliminated. Busta Rhymes is the guest performer.

The final six contestants, Ivan and Natalie, Benji and Donyelle along with Travis and Heidi would perform as couples and solo in front of the judges. Ivan and Nathalie would dance a jive routine; Travis and Heidi danced pop, and Benji and Donyelle perform a hip hop routine.

The remaining 6 performers start the show with a dance set to Hide and Seek. After a recap of the previous show, all the dancers would perform their solo routines. Our final four finds Heidi & Travis facing off against Donyelle & Benji. The first series finds Heidi and Travis disco dancing while Donyelle and Benji engaged in a Viennese waltz.
